Where we ship from. All orders ship from our workshop in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
Carriers and rates. We ship by FedEx Express or FedEx Ground, DHL Express (United States), Canada Post (small items within Canada) or postal service (Mexico), depending on the destination. Shipping is charged by destination and package weight; the exact amount is shown at checkout before you pay. We ship to most countries worldwide, including the United Kingdom, the European Union, Australia, Mexico and Asia.
Delivery times.
Customs duties and taxes. Import duties, customs fees and sales taxes charged by your country are your responsibility and are not included in our prices or shipping charges. The customs invoice shows the full value paid: that value is also the maximum insurance we can claim if a shipment is lost or damaged, so we do not declare reduced values.
Shipping insurance. FedEx and DHL are reliable, but in our experience about 1 shipment in 200 is damaged, lost or stolen in transit. Optional shipping insurance is available at checkout for your peace of mind; if you decline it, the shipment travels at your risk.
Packaging. Each sword is placed in a cotton or silk sword bag, wrapped in 3/16-inch bubble wrap and shipped in a thick mailing tube sealed at both ends and marked fragile. We have drop-tested this packaging from 7 feet without damage to the contents.
United Kingdom. The UK sword ban applies to cheap imitation samurai swords; our products are collector's items and have shipped to UK customers without issue since the ban came into effect. If your sword is not delivered, we refund you in full.
